FOR TODAY (November 3, 2008)...
Outside My Window... It is going to be a beautiful week, with temps in the 60's!
I am thinking... about organizing all the toys and what a long process it will be.
I am thankful for... a godly husband. The Lord is just so good.
From the learning rooms...We are on our week-long vacation from school. We have been looking forward to this for a while. I am praying it helps us get re-energized to get back into the swing of things!
From the kitchen... Today I will be making pumpkin puree from our pumpkins to freeze. I will roast the pumpkin seeds too!
I am wearing... a tan top and light blue jean skirt.
I am creating... a blog (until we get our website up and running!) for our new church plant!
I am going... to clean out my garden beds this week. The temps are going to be great and we have the time to do it.
I am reading...Proverbs. I never tire of Proverbs.
I am hoping... to get everything done that I have planned for my week.
I am hearing... coughing & sneezing, cold season is upon us.
Around the house... the kids are cleaning their rooms and have some laundry folding to catch up on from last week. I like to fold items as they come out of the dryer....it just didn't happen last week :o(
One of my favorite things... Homemade quilts. My great-grandma has made quilts for many years. They all have a story behind them. I have made a couple doll quilts, but nothing big. I think I am going to start quilting for real ;o) .
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Create a tighter schedule for our school work and chores. We have been getting most of our things done, but I want to tweak it a bit. I am also going to catch up on sewing projects/mending, our election unit study, processing the rest of our apples, freezing pumpkin puree from our pumpkins, etc... whew! This will be the busiest week off ever!
Here is picture thought I am sharing...
We were visiting friends last week and my friend gave me this beautiful quilt wall hanging. It is done in the Log Cabin pattern and has browns, oranges, fall colors. I love it! I have it draped over the back of our deacon's bench.
To read more daybook entries, go on over to Peggy's at The Simple Woman. In this world of busyness, it is refreshing to read about the simplicities of life :o) .

The log cabin is one of my favorite patterns. I have just begun to do some piecing and quilting in earnest. It is fun, I'm teaching daughter what I know about sewing and quilting. I've been invited to teach a simple sewing lesson to her Brownies. I'm going to do a 4 patch, I think.
I have always been a keeper of the home. I did some simple jobs but mostly just volunteer work. It is certainly possible to live off one income. I do realize however that being a full time keeper of the home isn't for everyone. I respect that. Currently daughter's family is living off one income (hers) as SIL goes back to school to become a teacher(formally an engineer).
Loved reading your daybook.
