I just got my new Kraft Food Magazine on Saturday and am enjoying browsing through it. There are a few of the recipes that I will try this week.Monday- Tater Tot casserole (our modified version) I was actually supposed to make this 2 weeks ago and it just didn't happen. I added carrots, celery, and a can of diced tomatoes. It was pretty good!
Tuesday- Election Day! Easy Italian Pasta Salad. We are letting the old children stay up and watch the election results as they come in (goes along with our unit study!); thus snacks and desserts lol. Snack of tortilla chips and cheeseburger dip. Fruit pizza for dessert
Wednesday-Hot Beef Sandwiches and salad
Thursday-Chicken Pasta Bake
Friday-Homemade pizza. I posted my recipe for the crust and the sauce here.
Saturday-Chili with cornbread
Sunday- Eggs and bacon for after church. I still have not come up with a wonderful solution of a light dinner after the Sunday evening service at church.
To participate in Menu Plan Monday, see Laura over at Orgjunkie. She is also having a cool give-a-way!

My family always made quiesadias (sp) after church, quick and easy, all we had to do for prep was cook the chicken before we left for church then throw everything together in the oven for 10 min. yummy!
Kudos - I just reading your profile regarding the lie of needing 2 incomes.
I also believe people feed into that one.
I was able to be home for 4 years while the hubby went to work. It was great.
Laura,
I will try that suggestion! It does sound easy to throw together, thanks so much!

Rona,
Thanks for your comment! Many people equate needs with wants.. I believe that if people want it bad enough (to stay at home and live on one income) then we can do it. Yes, it is a sacrifice, but it's something I'll never regret. Blessings to you :o)
