We went to my mother-in-laws for dinner last night (she got her power back on yesterday morning). We had checked the website for out electric company to get an estimate of when we would be back on and they estimated Sunday midnight. Ugghh. 8 days of no power. So I fully prepared myself for the full 8 days. On the way home from my MIL's house, my husband and the kids had a friendly debate on if the lights would be on when we got home. All but one said no (I had told them what the website said). So I decided to call home to prove that it wouldn't be on. Well......the answering machine came on! They almost didn't believe me. When we pulled into the driveway, our house was lit up like a Christmas tree!
Thanks for your prayers during this. The Lord was so gracious to us. I have severe seasonal allergies. The last few days without the power (a/c) have not been bad at all! The weather has been beautiful and even though pollen counts were high, It didn't affect me like normal. Today is a different story :o( Please continue to pray for those in Texas. My sister's house (SE of Houston) is not livable as 2 trees went through it and there are gaping holes in it. My great-grandma, aunt, and uncle live in Galveston and they have not been able to go back to see if they even have a house left. Many people need help and our prayers.
On another note, I have been playing with my blog design and thought I had it looking pretty good, until it was brought to my attention that something wasn't quite right. For those of you with firefox, sorry for the huge mess of a blog that you have been seeing! It looked pretty good with IE, lol.

Praise the Lord for answered prayer! :)
BTW, I can see my blog o.k. using Firefox, and I use a template from The Cutest Blogs on the Block. Maybe you can figure something out; it was cute! :)
