Menu Plan Monday

A new week....a new plan. I didn't stay on last weeks' plan very well. We wound up having Pizza on Monday because we knew Melissa would not be able to eat it for a while after she got her braces. We had a few other things come up also. I did make the Santa Fe casserole, it was sooooo good! We had vegetable soup instead of potato soup or bean soup.
Menu planning really does help my day go smoother. It only takes about 25-30 minutes, once per week to make a menu and then I don't have to "think" during the dinner rush....I already know what we are having. This week, I am cooking one of my cheap-o turkeys, since I didn't get it out and thawed in time to cook this past Sunday.
Monday-Beef and rice, with baked potatoes and steamed broccoli
Tuesday-Potato soup
Wednesday-Chicken, fried potatoes, corn, and spinach salad.
Thursday-Taco salad. Our Pastor and his wife are coming to dinner. Pastor and my husband are going to drive around our area of town to look for possible meeting locations for our new church plant! More on that later...
Friday-Turkey should be thawed by then.
Saturday-Turkey tetrazini
I am going to try to stay on each day this week....a challenge to myself! For more menu ideas, be sure to check out Laura at Orgjunkie!

I got away from my menu planning and need to get back to it! It does save time and money.

Looks like a great week! I agree - meal planning does save time and $$.
