Back in October, for Pastor Appreciation month, the sweet ladies at our church gave me a "Pastor's Wife gift". Two books that I had been wanting (but told no one!) Manager's of Their Homes and Managers of Their Chores by Steven and Teri Maxwell. What a gift! I started with the one for chores and we have that hammered out pretty well. We still needed a good schedule.
Being a pastor's family, our schedule has to be flexible! So we tweaked it a bit. Instead of one Master schedule, we made 7 daily schedules, one for each day of the week and each member of our family listed on them. We put in the "absolutes", like meal times, family devotions, wake up times, etc... but we are leaving a lot of them empty and filling them in with pencil as we go. It looks like this:
So far so good. This is only the first week of the new schedule and it is working out pretty well. We put in free time too so it doesn't seem like we are "always" doing something. After we get more filled in, I will post more!
